I have been running for over 40 years and in the main I have done so injury free. However 2 years ago I developed a condition called Plantar Faciitis. This affects the base of the foot, particularly the heel. Over this period the pain has ranged from mildly irritating to absolute agony, preventing me from putting my heel on the ground at all. In all honesty I ignored the problem, carried on running and put up with it. Following a visit to Dr Google I started stretching to alleviate the problem but this made very little difference. By this stage I was walking with a permanent limp so took a break from running, hoping that rest would help. Following a severe outbreak last December I decided to take other action and this is when Kerstine stepped up to help. I discovered she could treat this issue with Shock wave therapy and I embarked on a course of treatment lasting 6 weeks. Each session was more intense than the previous one and although I could feel something happening, It is difficult to describe what. As I left each session I was still experiencing some pain, but each week this was getting less and less. The pain in my heel has all but disappeared now. I have stopped limping and have started running again albeit in small amounts. So far 5 miles pain free has been my limit. Would I recommend this treatment? Absolutely. Would I recommend Kerstine? Definitely. The results have been significant and have made a really positive difference to me as an individual.
Having found a new love in running I was devastated to get a hip injury. With Kerstine’s assessment, treatment, positive words and encouragement I am finally back running again
Always hugely helpful, supportive, knowledgeable AND realistic about running injuries and their owners.
